If you have a late registered birth certificate, it is recommended that you submit a copy of the late registered birth certificate along with two affidavits by older relatives who were aware of your birth (preferably your mother and father), along with secondary evidence stating your name, birth date, and names of your parents (i.e. school records, government records).  If you do not supply the additional documents with the birth certificate, this could cause the USCIS to issue a request for additional evidence asking for supporting documents and this could significantly delay your processing time.
