I submitted my Application for Employment Authorization (EAD) Form I-765. What happens if after 90 days I still have not been approved?
Check the “Received Date” on your I-765 receipt notice. If more than 90 days have passed since that day, you can call USCIS to raise a service request. The number is 1-800-375-5283. Keep in mind that if USCIS issues a request for initial evidence, the 90-day clock will start over from the time the requested initial evidence is received. If USCIS issues a request for additional evidence, the clock will stop the day the request is issues and resume when the additional evidence is received.
For example, if your case is pending for 45 days and you receive a request for initial evidence, then your case will technically be pending for 1 day once that initial evidence is received. If after 45 days you receive a request for additional evidence, your case will be pending for 46 days once the USCIS receives the additional evidence.
