How reviewers are engaged
Reviewers are either employed by a LegalMatrix group practising entity in that jurisdiction or engaged from an independent licensed firm under a written agreement that covers conflicts, confidentiality, professional indemnity and sign-off responsibility. In every case the reviewer is admitted or registered where the document will be used, and their name is on it.
Patent and trademark practice
US patent matters are handled by the group's USPTO-registered patent practitioner; other offices by registered patent agents under written engagement. Trademark filings are made by registered practitioners or agents of record in each office. The docket for every portfolio under management has a named practitioner responsible for it.
