Scope

Each product or matter has a written scope, a fixed fee, a review level and a named reviewer or practitioner. Work outside the scope is quoted separately.

Practising entity

The entity that practises law or acts as agent for your matter is named in the engagement terms; the LegalMatrix brand is not itself the practising entity.

Review level

A workflow draft is labelled as not lawyer-reviewed and is not legal advice. Lawyer review and sign-off are recorded with the reviewer's name, admission and date.

Conflicts

A conflict check runs at intake. Related group companies are disclosed; you may request an independent reviewer.

AI

Drafting and consistency checks use the group's workflow engine; where lawyer review is included or selected, a licensed professional reviews and signs off.

Portfolio instructions

Renewals and annuities are paid only on your written instruction given before the cut-off stated in the docket; if no instruction is received, the right may lapse and we are not liable for the lapse.

Communication

Through the matter on the platform; email is used for notifications.

Termination

Either party may end a matter or subscription on notice; fees for work done are payable; documents, the matter record and the portfolio are exported to you and agents of record transferred on request.
