How it runs

  1. Playbook interview

Two hours with the reviewing lawyer and your commercial lead to set positions for each clause, by contract type and jurisdiction.

  2. Playbook drafted

The playbook is written, reviewed and loaded into the workflow so every incoming contract is checked against it automatically.

  3. Reviews

Each contract you upload is marked against the playbook; the lawyer handles only the deviations and signs the summary.

  4. Questions

Written questions on any contract in the playbook are answered in the matter within one business day.

  5. Quarterly update

Positions are revised with what the quarter's deals taught, and with changes in the law.

Questions

Why is this better than a template library?

A template is what you send. A playbook is what you accept. Most of the risk in a growing company sits in the contracts the other side sends, and a playbook is the only way to handle fifty of them consistently.

Can my own lawyer see the playbook?

Yes, and edit it. The playbook is yours; we maintain it.

What happens to unused reviews?

They do not roll over. Additional reviews are 20 per cent cheaper than the single-review price.

Can I cancel?

Monthly, with 30 days' notice. The playbook and all reviews are exported to you.

Does it work for Japanese contracts?

Yes, with Japan as one of the plan's jurisdictions and reviews by a 弁護士.
