Who it is for
For
- Companies making their first hire in a new country through a local subsidiary
- Groups replacing a home-country template that does not fit local law
- Start-ups hiring remote employees who live in a covered jurisdiction
Not for
- Hiring where you have no local entity and no plan to form one (consider an employer of record)
- Independent contractor arrangements (ask for a contractor agreement)
What the document does
Clause summaries. The product delivers the drafted and reviewed document, not a template.
How it runs
Intake
A questionnaire captures the role, remuneration, location, seniority, confidentiality needs and whether you want restrictive covenants.
First draft
The LegalMatrix workflow produces the contract and policy set from the jurisdiction's current employment clause library.
Professional review
A lawyer admitted in the jurisdiction checks every term against the employment statute and recent case law, especially termination and covenant clauses, and signs off.
Signature
Signature-ready versions are issued with a hiring checklist listing the registrations and notices the employer must make.
Record update
GoGoTrust records the template in the company's document register and the headcount in its entity record.
A lawyer admitted in the jurisdiction reviews and signs off the contract and policies before release.

Questions
Can we use our home-country contract with a governing law clause?
Not reliably. Employment statutes apply to employees working in the jurisdiction regardless of the chosen law, and a foreign-law contract tends to omit mandatory terms. The product gives you a local contract that reflects your group's standards.
Will it include a non-compete?
Only where enforceable and only if you ask. California prohibits them, Ontario bans them for most employees, Taiwan requires paid compensation and strict conditions, and other jurisdictions enforce only proportionate restraints. The review note explains the position.
What about probation?
Each jurisdiction's probation or trial mechanism is built in: for example New Zealand's 90-day trial must be agreed before day one and Hong Kong's first month allows termination without notice.
Does the contract come in the local language?
Yes for Japan and Taiwan, as bilingual versions with a prevailing-language clause. Elsewhere English is standard.
Do we need a local entity to use this contract?
Yes. The contract is between the employee and your local company. If you have none, GoGoTrust can form one or you can use an employer of record in the meantime.
